- To provide your programme with a framework and a model of good practice against which to review your current practice
- To assist your programme in identifying and prioritising areas for attention and improvement
- To encourage your programme to use the framework as part of a repeatable “continuous improvement” strategy
- To encourage the sharing of “best” practice

- Organisations that have already achieved MBF’s Approved Provider Standard (APS) and those who wish to develop your programme further
- Organisations planning to seek APS re-accreditation
- Any organisation committed to improving programme quality

• Introduction to self-assessment processes, including best practice tools and techniques

Trainer biography:
Steve Matthews is Deputy Chief Executive of the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation (MBF) where he is responsible for managing the quality standards work of the organisation and for project development. He has worked for MBF for three years. Previously, he worked in Further Education as an Access ability co-ordinator working with students with learning disabilities. Steve is a qualified teacher and continues to teach adults in basic IT, literacy and numeracy.
