• To help you thoroughly select and prepare your clients
• To consider the key factors relating to recruitment, selection and training of your volunteers
• To develop appropriate matching processes
• To formulate effective support and supervision practices
• To build frameworks for developing effective mentoring and befriending relationships
Audience:
- Project Co-ordinators who are interested in implementing a mentoring or befriending programme or currently running a programme
Learning outcomes:
- Define your project aims and objectives, as well as target groups
- Assess your resources and support structures required
- Get familiar with the terminology of outputs and outcomes
- Understand basic monitoring and evaluation techniques
- Introduction to recruitment, screening and matching
Trainer biography:
MBFs own regional co-ordinators deliver this course. All are experienced trainers and have extensive background in mentoring and befriending provision.
