A series of regional befriending events hosted by the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation (MBF) took place between November 2008 and March 2009 in eight of the nine government regions and was attended by over 200 practitioners responsible for the delivery of befriending provision across the country.

On 4th March the national Mentoring and Befriending Foundation held a showcase event in Truro, supported by Cornwall Rural Community Council.
