South West projects attend Westminster
Five South West projects have recently attended a celebration of mentoring and befriending held at Westminster. The celebration event was hosted by communities minister Hazel Blears and the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation.
Mentors/Befrienders and Mentees/Befriendees from the
Somerset Youth Volunteering Network, Womankind, The Fishpool Project, Plymstock School and The Voluntary Support Scheme attended the celebration event which was attended by 40 ministers including cabinet ministers to share with them their accounts of how mentoring and befriending has transformed their lives.
