Communities for Health programme funding available

Innovative projects within the borough of Oldham sought to raise awareness of health issues and to reduce isolation

The Communities for Health programme are seeking bids from the third sector and public sector organisations in the borough of Oldham, for innovative projects to raise awareness of health issues and reduce isolation.

Proposals can be for any of the following themes:
•Intergenerational activity - any activity which involves older and younger people participating together and learning from each other
•Physical activity - any activity that improves physical activity and engages people who would not otherwise participate
•Skills sharing for better health - schemes that promote adopting healthy lifestyles e.g. helping people to cook healthy family meals from scratch, growing food, learning to mend clothes etc

This is a one off grant of upto £10,000 per proposal.
