Rachel joined us in September 2006 as South London Regional Co-ordinator. She is a volunteer Mentor herself and used to run the Befriending Service at Volunteer Centre Sutton. She's recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Voluntary Action Management so has lots of knowledge about voluntary organisations and how they work. Her sector speciality is mentoring and befriending within faith groups, so please get in touch if you have any information or pointers here.

Mike Gale - London Regional Co-ordinator
Mike has just joined us here at MBF although he has worked in the voluntary sector for over 10 years. He was a mentee with Kent Community Housing Association in 1997, and the contacts and skills he gained led on to a career spanning community development, youth work, volunteer management, fundraising and partnership development.
Having benefited hugely from his time as a mentee, Mike has joined MBF to do what he can at a regional level to ensure many more people experience similar advantages from mentoring and befriending schemes.
In addition, Mike has fulfilled several voluntary roles, including as a trustee of his local CVS and Volunteer Centre, volunteer manager in hospital radio, and as a general volunteer for several youth groups and a community woodland project.
