This course is designed around the principles of the national benchmark; the Approved Provider Standard in particular preparation and ongoing support of volunteers.

- Project co-ordinators or trainers for befriending programmes of any size with little or no prior experience of delivering training for volunteer mentors and befrienders

- Increased knowledge of the key elements of mentor and befriender training
- Increased understanding on how to practise and appraise a range of activities appropriate for your training
- Increased clarification of different levels and methods of training evaluation
