Networking Events

National Training Programme - Book Now
From October 2008 to March 2009, the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation will be hosting a series of peer mentoring networking events at various locations across the nine government regions in England. The day runs from 10:00am until 3:00pm and consists of both structured and informal networking opportunities, as well as presentations from well-established pre and post 16 peer mentoring projects.

Who is this event for?

The peer mentoring regional networking events provide a valuable opportunity for practitioners to come together and share experiences of setting up and running peer mentoring programmes as well as celebrating the impact that is being made.

The networking events are for all co-ordinators and practitioners of peer mentoring programmes, whether new to peer mentoring and looking for ideas and support with setting up, or experienced and wanting to be kept up-dated with new developments in the field.  Whatever stage you're at, your input will be valued, and can often be the starting point of a strong support network in your area.

The networking events are also for peer mentors and mentees.  Their feedback and experiences are so important for the development of good and successful programmes. Please let us know on your booking form if you intend to bring young people with you.

If you have a good project in place and would like to raise your profile by showcasing at one of the networking events, please contact the peer mentoring team.

How much will it cost?

The networking events are free to attend, so early booking is essential in order to secure a place.

NB.  Cancellations received less than 1 week prior to the event will be subject to a £15 administration charge in order to cover external overheads.  Delegates are welcome to send a substitute colleague in their place.
