Peer mentoring outcomes measurement programme

Peer mentoring outcomes measurement programme

MBF is seeking participants for a DCSF-funded outcomes measurement programme to help demonstrate the positive outcomes that peer mentoring is having for young people.

Who can participate?
We are looking to support both new and well-established projects in schools, colleges, local authorities and voluntary organisations which offer peer mentoring to the young people they work with.

What will be the wider impact?
The peer mentoring outcomes measurement programme aims to raise awareness of peer mentoring as a positive approach to improving the lives of young people. Promoting an outcomes focus is a vital part of MBF’s vision that peer mentoring support should be made available to every young person in the country.

We are looking to achieve this through collecting and reporting on improved outcomes in attainment, attendance, behaviour and well-being. Participating organisations will be promoted for their good practice in measuring outcomes for young people and the findings will be disseminated across the sector.

What do participants receive?
  • Direct support planning and analysing the outcomes facilitated by your project
  • A tailored outcomes measurement report including good practice recommendations for your peer mentoring project
  • The opportunity to raise the profile of your peer mentoring project including case study opportunities and acknowledgement in the outcomes measurement programme report
  • The opportunity to shape the future role of peer mentoring in education
