Short Course Award for Co-ordinators
Peer Mentoring Co-ordinator Short Course Award
The Peer Mentoring Co-ordinators Award is available as a 30 hour, 3 credit award, or as a 60 hour, 6 credit award. You must complete a minimum of 2 out of 4 of the following possible modules:
- initiating and developing a peer mentoring programme in your centre or learning environment.
- promoting mentoring skills through a range of activities.
- learning and sharing good practice.
- reviewing and improving the peer mentoring programme.
Certificates are issued by ASDAN through the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation after successful moderation of Portfolios by ASDAN.
How does the Award fit in to the UK Qualification Framework?
The Award counts as up to half the curriculum requirements of the ASDAN Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE), which is worth a full GCSE and scores the equivalent of Grade B at Level 2. For advanced students credits from the Award could also count towards the CoPE Level 3, which is a full AS Level, worth 70 UCAS points.
How do I apply?
