National peer mentoring programme

MBF promotes the expansion of peer mentoring opportunities for children and young people within the education sector and beyond.

National peer mentoring anti-bullying pilot

150 primary, secondary and special schools across England are participating in the national peer mentoring anti-bullying pilot.

National occupational standards for mentoring and befriending

MBF in conjunction with Skills for Justice are undertaking a project to develop a functional map for mentoring and befriending in order to facilitate the development of national occupational standards and a vocational qualification for the mentoring and befriending of offenders.

LSC offender mentoring pilot project

The Learning and Skills Council in the North East has engaged MBF to manage a pilot project looking at how to improve standards of mentoring and befriending for ex-offenders in the region.

European mentoring and befriending group

MBF is currently partnering with a number of European countries in the development of mentoring and befriending across Europe including a new European Charter for mentoring and befriending across the European Union.

14-19 Greater Manchester Challenge

This programme uses peer mentoring to raise awareness and aspirations amongst young people of new learning opportunities and progression routes for 14-19 year olds and beyond.
