The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation has been working in partnership with ASDAN to produce accredited short course awards for peer mentors and co-ordinators. The ASDAN / MBF Peer Mentoring Award accredits up to 60 hours of activities carried out by peer mentors and co-ordinators in many different settings and contexts. 

For Peer Mentors.... In schools and colleges it is ideal for meeting the accreditation requirements of the full range of peer led initiatives including peer mentors, peer listeners, buddies and peer counsellors.  Youth, community and training groups can use this award to recognise achievements in peer led youth work and in education.

For Peer Mentoring Co-ordinators.... The award is designed to support and accredit the activity of peer mentoring co-ordinators and is ideal for those wishing to gain recognition for their work in implementing and developing a peer mentoring project. Pre-16 practitioners and post-16 practitioners will work towards slightly different activities and these will be reflected in the Record Books. Activities should be carried out in conjunction with the relevant MBF Resource Pack.

Registering for the Awards...In order to register as a candidate for any of the Awards your organisation will need to be an ASDAN short course -registered centre.  If you are not, please contact ASDAN for a registation form: www.asdan.org.uk 

For Short Courses ONLY registration fee is £55 plus VAT
- For Annual Registration for ALL courses registration fee is £195 plus VAT

Once your organisation is registered, the fee is £5.50 per candidate + postage and packaging.
This covers the cost of the Award book and certification.
