Free guides to help offenders get their lives back on track published
MBF in partnership with Clinks co-writes two of them
A series of guides designed to help offenders get their lives back on track have been launched today. The four guides have been created to support organisations that involve offenders as volunteers, or provide mentoring and befriending services to offenders and ex-offenders.
The guides have been designed to support all organisations that work with offenders, from those that are well-established to new set-ups, and were created by Clinks with MBF co-writing two of them.
The titles of the guides are: Setting Up a Project; Quality Standards (both co-written by MBF); Managing Volunteers; and Demonstrating Effectiveness.
The guides have been funded by the Ministry of Justice, and alongside MBF have been developed with Volunteering England and the Charities Evaluation Services.
The guides have been launched at an event in London today, and at another event taking place in Manchester next month.
