The Young Foundation release research report
Policymakers called to back activities to decrease social isolation and mental illness
The Young Foundation is a centre for social innovation and their recent research report Sinking and Swimming: Understanding Britain’s Unmet Needs explores how psychological and material needs are being met and unmet in Britain today.
The study shows where the most acute needs are and how they interrelate and are identified as increased social isolation and mental illness. The study calls on policymakers to back activities that will meet these needs including befriending and mentoring.
