Mentoring plans to help boost employment outlined in White Paper
Backing Young Britain campaign to provide mentoring for young people
The Department for Work and Pensions has published a White Paper - Building Britain’s Recovery – Achieving Full Employment which sets out government plans to combat effects of recession and in particular to get thousands more young people into jobs and training.
One initiative to be rolled out is the Backing Young Britain Campaign which will encourage employers across the country to provide extra apprenticeships, internships, work experience and mentoring for young people out of work. MBF is currently supporting this campaign and is working with partners to deliver on the commitment to provide 10,000 mentoring opportunities for young people claiming job seakers allowance.
