National plan for people with mental health problems in the criminal justice system
Mentoring programme to help resettlement on leaving prison
The Department of Health has released a national delivery plan in response to recommendations made in the Bradley Report around supporting people in the Criminal Justice System who have mental health problems or learning disabilities.

- Working with NOMS, we will scope the benefit of having a comprehensive mentoring programme to support individuals identified as having mental health and learning disabilities in resettling into the community on leaving prison. The Programme Board is to make a decision on the way forward by April 2010.
