Help to develop National Participation Strategy
Managers and participation workers asked to complete survey
The National Children's Bureau (NCB), in partnership with the Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE), has been commissioned by 11 MILLION to examine children and young people's participation in decision-making in order to inform the development of a National Participation Strategy for England.
As part of this research they are inviting frontline participation workers and senior managers with a policy/strategic responsibility for participation, each to complete an anonymous 10 minute online survey.
MBF would like to promote the opportunity to complete the participation survey for practitioners within the mentoring, peer mentoring and befriending arena. This is because lots of youth organisations, schools and colleges are currently using mentoring to increase the participation of their children and young people.
The confidential surveys examine the levels and ways in which organisations involve children and young people in decision-making and the barriers that limit their participation.
The deadline for completing the survey is 18 December 2009.
