Befriending project in Coventry recognised by the Queen
The Sahil Project wins this year's Queen's Award for Voluntary Service
Her Majesty the Queen has bestowed an honour on Coventry charity The Sahil Project which has been supporting Asian women for 22 years. The award is an acknowledgement of the outstanding contribution this organisation has made to its community and women of ethnic origin shattered by loneliness, stress, and mental illness.
According to the Coventry Telegraph, Rani Saund, the project’s centre manager, said:
“We’re delighted and thrilled to have received this prestigious honour... This is an endorsement of all our hard work”
