£20m Learning Revolution Transformation Fund
Grants to inspire adults to learn new things through informal learning
The Learning Revolution Transformation Fund of £20 million from DIUS (now named Department for Business Innovation and Skills) offers grants of various sizes to help projects get started. Funding will be allocated this summer so that you can bring your most inspirational ideas to life by March 2010.
The aim is to support brilliant ideas that involve organisations teaming up in new ways to inspire adults to learn new things and covers a huge variety of activities. The primary purpose is for individuals to pursue an interest, have fun or develop a new skill. This support of informal learning can bring real benefits by contributing to health and well-being by building confidence, resilience and good social relationships or an important step towards further learning, qualifications and employmen.
Public, private or third sector organisations in England are eligible to submit their creative proposals, preferably in partnership, by 12 July 2009.
