Fun and Friendship programme to fund projects for disabled young people

New grants scheme from Children in Need

BBC Children in Need has launched a new £3m grant programme focused on charities working with disabled young people aged between 12 and 18.

The Fun and Friendship programme is to help projects to create and enhance opportunities for disabled young people to meet friends and have a good time, as independently as possible. It will offer up to 12 three-year grants of up to £300,000 each.

Deadline for applications is 31 July 2009.
