National peer mentoring pilot 2006-2008 dissemination manual

MBF launches this peer mentoring resource aimed at the education and voluntary/community sectors

The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation have created a manual evidencing the impact and models of peer mentoring found in 180 schools who took part in the recent DCSF funded peer mentoring pilot.

The aim of the manual is to highlight the benefits of peer mentoring and to address some of the barriers faced when setting up and sustaining projects.  The manual takes a look at the successful models and how they have been implemented and integrated into schools.  Case studies are used to highlight good practice and how peer mentoring can be used to tackle issues around bullying, behaviour, attendance and transition.
