MBF launches new resource for peer mentors

A free guide with links to information and support websites on a range of topics

Front cover of peer mentoring resource
This new guide "...i know someone who can..." is aimed at peer mentors and can be used directly with mentees (aged 11-25).

The guide can ideally be used by peer mentors to increase their own knowledge or use alongside their mentee to explore any issues they may be facing.

It provides links to useful websites on the following topics where further information and support can be found:

• Anti-bullying
• Drugs, alcohol and smoking
• Sex and relationships
• Physical, mental and emotional health
• Safety, crime and youth offending
• Disabilities
• Young carers and young people in care
• LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender)
• Racism, discrimination, equality and diversity
• Volunteering

You can access the guide here or order copies from MBF.  Copies are limited to 20 per organisation and we will be asking for feedback about how useful peer mentors found the resource.
