Prime Minister's Council on Social Action seeks mentoring and befriending input
Get your views heard and advise the government on new ways to catalyse social action for the social good
MBF and the Prime Minister's Council on Social Action are working in partnership to ensure that mentoring and befriending are at the forefront of the Council's work regarding the one-to-one approach.
The Prime Minister launched the Council on Social Action at its inaugural meeting at 10 Downing Street in December 2007. The aim of the Council is to advise the Government and other stakeholders on new ways to catalyse social action, and ways to celebrate, connect and empower all those working for social good. The Prime Minister asked the Council to focus, as its first key challenge, on the theme of one-to-one, and to explore what it could do to expand awareness of the power of this approach, and expand the numbers of people having the opportunity to give and receive support in this way.
This is the subject that David Robinson's presentation picked up on at the recent National Mentoring and Befriending conference.
Your thoughts will help with the next stages of the Council on Social Action’s work, simply fill in the short survey and we will consider the responses.
All respondents will receive a copy of the report that will be presented to the Prime Minister.
