Launch of mentoring pilot for people who self-harm
Health Minister launches mentoring scheme to support those who self-harm
Health Minister Paul Goggins has launched an innovative pilot mentoring scheme to provide support for people who self-harm.
The mentoring scheme will operate in the Greater Belfast area of Northern Ireland and will be offered to anyone who presents to Accident & Emergency at Altnagelvin Hospital following an incident of self-harming. The pilot will run until March 2008 when it will be fully evaluated with a view to rolling it out across Northern Ireland.
