Overview
This unique free regional event has been designed to bring together mentoring and befriending practitioners and commissioners to:
•Promote understanding of the benefits of mentoring and befriending programmes and how they can contribute to local and regional priorities including youth crime and older people's wellbeing
•Help commissioners and mentoring and befriending practitioners to understand each other’s requirements when commissioning programmes in the West Midlands
•Increase awareness of the guidance and support that MBF can offer to regional and local commissioners and funders including the national quality standard; the Approved Provider Standard

10.00 – 10.15 Welcome and introduction to mentoring and befriending
activity in the West Midlands
