Aims
- To provide an introduction to resilience theory
- To apply resilience theory to different befriending and mentoring projects and their client groups
- To develop practical tools to incorporate resilience into your programme management

- Mentoring and befriending programme managers and co-ordinators

- Increased understanding of resilience theory
- Increased understanding of resilience in relation to your project and client groups
- Develop practical methods of incorporating resilience theory relating to:
- Client assessment
- Intervention strategies
- Monitoring and evaluation
Trainer biographer
Susan Gilchrist is the national training officer at Befriending Network Scotland with 25 years experience of training & working the voluntary sector in Scotland. Susan designs (and delivers much of) the national training programme for BNS. Her current areas of interest include resilience and wellbeing.
