This course is designed around the principles of the national benchmark; the Approved Provider Standard in particular monitoring and evaluation.

Aims

• To put outcomes in context and clear up confusion around monitoring and evaluation jargon, ‘outputs’, ‘outcomes’, ‘outcomes indicators’ …
• To show you how to identify your own unique client outcomes through self evaluation
• To help you develop ways to measure and therefore report those all important client outcomes

Learning outcomes

• Increased understanding of the monitoring and evaluation field within the mentoring and befriending sector
• Increased ability to identify and measure your own client outcomes

Audience

• Project coordinators/managers with little or no experience of monitoring and evaluation with regard to client outcomes

Trainer biography

Rachel Nicholson and Val Barritt are Regional Co-ordinators for MBF.   Both are experienced trainers and have an extensive background in mentoring and befriending provision.  In 2008 they both qualified as Outcomes Champions through the Charities Evaluation Service and relate their experiences and skills throughout the course.
