Aims:
• To assess the need for your programme as well as the rationale behind it
• To formulate programme aims and objectives
• To investigate different models of mentoring and befriending
• To consider resourcing and financial requirements
• To establish appropriate structures, roles and policies/procedures
• To introduce basic concepts of risk management and insurance
• To examine the monitoring and evaluation process
Audience:
• Individuals who are interested in implementing a mentoring or befriending programme
Learning outcomes:
• Define your project model, aims and objectives, as well as target groups
• Assess your resources and support structures required
• Understand basic monitoring and evaluation techniques
Trainer biography:
MBF's own regional co-ordinators deliver this course. All are experienced trainers and have extensive background in mentoring and befriending provision.
