- To encourage the development of robust and effective approaches to your monitoring and evaluation
- To provide a broad overview of monitoring and evaluation, a recap on the ‘basics’ and development of practical evaluation frameworks
- To focus on your outcomes and outputs, indicators and information collection methods
- To promote the use of self evaluation as a primary approach

- Project co-ordinators or trainers for mentoring and befriending programmes
Learning outcomes:
- Enhance your knowledge and understanding of monitoring and evaluation - Identify practical tools and techniques for supporting monitoring and evaluation
- Increase your confidence in giving basic advice and support on monitoring and evaluation
Trainer biography:
Neil Gardiner is an independent consultant working with third sector organisations and their partners, following extensive experience in senior roles within a range of organisations (including working as Chief Executive of a Rural Community Council). With postgraduate qualifications (M.B.A.) he has wide experience and skills related to the sector in monitoring and evaluation, strategic development and business planning, performance development and community capacity building and is an NCVO-accredited consultant. He is a qualified and experienced trainer, also working as an Associate for Charities Evaluation Services.
