Mapping APS with other Quality Standards
Mapping APS with other Quality Standards
The purpose of this exercise has been to help organisations understand the differences and similarities between the different standards with a view to assisting organisations that may be interested in achieving more than one of the standards. The aim being to provide documentation which would facilitate the process for providers of mentoring and befriending services, by identifying areas where the evidence for each standard overlaps with APS.
The mapping exercise presented here summarises the compatibility of other standards to APS. It is important to note that the mapping is based on a comparison of the evidence required for each of the standards and does not, therefore, provide a complete picture of the detailed requirements for each standard. These documents should be read in conjunction with the detailed documentation provided by each organisation for their particular standard.
For each of the above standards there is a ‘Mapping Briefing’ and a corresponding ‘Mapping Table’. Whatever your starting point, these documents will help you to:
- Gain an overview of the PQASSO, Matrix and Investing in Volunteers quality standards and how they compare with APS (Mapping Briefings).
- Gain an understanding of the key similarities and differences between these standards and APS (Mapping Briefings).
- Determine where evidence required for APS overlaps with each of the standards and the evidence that would be required to achieve both (Mapping Tables).
- Plan next steps.
