National Training Programme - Book Now
Volunteers are central to the mentoring and befriending community, each project relies upon local support from people of all ages and backgrounds. The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation is able to offer support and advice to organisations wishing to set up a mentoring or befriending programme and currently we are working with over 4000 programmes. Over 500 hundred of these are accredited with the Approved Provider Standard.

To see for yourself the difference that mentoring and befriending can have on individual lives, please take a look at the MBF's promotional video - "Friends in Deed". This is a short three minute promotional feature.

The online APS directory lists projects that have achieved the national quality standard for mentoring and befriending projects, the Approved Provider Standard.

The online APS directory can be used to:
  • Search for other mentoring and befriending APS approved projects in your area or with a similar client group to network and share good practice with
  • Contact quality mentoring or befriending projects to find out about potential volunteering opportunities
