Senior Management Team
Peter Collins
Peter is the founder and Chief Executive of the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation. He was previously employed in the Careers Service and Youth Service in the 1980’s and developed one of the first Business Education Partnerships. He is currently Chair of the Millennium Volunteer National Providers Group and Transition Board.

Steve Leach
Steve is responsible for establishing the regional MBF infrastructure, equipping it to support and engage practitioners by promoting standards, building capacity and developing effective delivery. Steve is also developing the detailed regional knowledge needed to help shape MBF national and regional policy.

Steve Matthews
Steve is responsible for managing the quality and standards work of the organisation, including development of the Approved Provider Standard, accreditation opportunities and new project development.

Management Team
Sarah Willey
Sarah is National Education Contracts Manager for the DCSF peer mentoring contract. She oversees the pre and post-16 programme of activities supported by the DCSF Youth Volunteering Team.

Emma Dobie
Emma is responsible for the central team of co-ordinators, as well as all marketing activity that is undertaken by the foundation. She has direct responsibility for the national training programme, national conference and other stakeholder events.

Ben McGrath
Ben is responsible for the management of the DCSF funded National Peer Mentoring Pilot. He is working with 180 schools across England to establish high quality, sustainable peer mentoring. The project is being independently evaluated and is seeking to develop guidance on best practice.

National Co-ordinators
Paul Wainhouse
Paul is the Pre-16 Co-ordinator who facilitates training and networking events to practitioners in education who are wishing to implement a peer mentoring programme. In addition, he offers support to practititioners who are wanting to establish a scheme.

Jeanette Boyd
Jeanette is responsible for all information, advice and resources. She has extensive information and research experience and is able to advise on the full range of resources that we hold. Jeanette also coordinates the MBFs magazine, Rapport.

Salim Nazir
Salim is responsible for managing the promotion of the Approved Provider Standard and the overall assessment and re-accreditation of APS programmes. In addition, he is involved with implementing internal quality standards for the organisation. To contact Salim please email salim.nazir@mandbf.org.uk
National Support Team
Kate Knight
Kate is responsible for the day to day running of the office and works closely with the whole of the central team. Kate also works closely Approved Provider Standard Co-ordinator and is responsible for the APS administration.

Louise works closely with the Regional Co-ordinators and is their first point of contact. She supports them in their work and is responsible for all regional administration as well as providing support to the central team.
