Senior Management Team
Steve Matthews
Steve Matthews is the Chief Executive of the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation (MBF). He has worked for MBF for five years and played a key role in helping to transform the organisation from its early days as the National Mentoring Network into its current role as a national infrastructure body and strategic partner of the Office for Civil Society.

Emma Dobie
Emma is responsible for the central team of co-ordinators, as well as all marketing activity that is undertaken by the foundation. She has direct responsibility for the national training programme, national conference and other stakeholder events.

Sarah Willey
Sarah is managing the Department for Education peer mentoring contract. She oversees the pre and post-16 programme of activities supported by the Department for Education Youth Volunteering Team.

Ben is responsible for the management of the 14-19 Greater Manchester Challenge Project.

Paul Wainhouse
Paul is the Pre-16 Co-ordinator who facilitates training and networking events to practitioners in education who are wishing to implement a peer mentoring programme. In addition, he offers support to practitioners who are wanting to establish a scheme.

Jenny Taylor
Jenny is the Post-16 Co-ordinator who facilitates training and networking events to practitioners in education who are wishing to implement a peer mentoring programme. In addition, she offers support to practitioners who are wanting to establish a scheme.

Jeanette Boyd
Jeanette is responsible for all information, advice and resources. She has extensive information and research experience and is able to advise on the full range of resources that we hold.

Maxine Grimshaw
Maxine is responsible for managing and promoting the Approved Provider Standard. She is also responsible for the overall assessment and re-accreditation of APS programmes.

Kate Knight
Kate is responsible for the day to day running of the office and works closely with the whole of the central team. Kate also works closely with the Approved Provider Standard Co-ordinator and is responsible for the APS administration.
